First week of December, 2011, I along with seven friends set out for a motorbike tour to Muktinath. Muktinath is a sacred place for both Hindus and Buddhists located in Muktinath Valley at an altitude of 3,710 meters at the foot of the Thorong La mountain pass (part of the Himalayas) in Mustang, Nepal. It was December and Kathmandu was already undergoing cold and winter. Traveling in bike during winter is a suffering that we chose for adventure.  It was my first visit to Muktinath while few of my friends had already been there.

A bike tour to Muktinath was a real awesome experience of my life. During the journey, I realized the pain of back sitter. I feel like my butt was swollen and i could not sit anymore. But the hunger of drinking Marpha blowing in the wind of Jomsom and enjoying the smell of Mustang soil kept us going. The Journey was like chasing the Himalayas. The more you chase, the far it stands. Finally, I found myself at the back of the Himalayas and then I realized I am at the”Himal pari ko Desh”…
